Karina & Joey’s Timeless Waterfront Wedding at Brock House Restaurant, Vancouver

If you're looking for an elegant and picturesque waterfront wedding venue in Vancouver, Brock House Restaurant in Kitsilano is a perfect choice. Nestled on the shores of Jericho Beach, this heritage home offers a romantic setting with breathtaking ocean and mountain views—an unforgettable backdrop for your wedding photography.

Karina and Joey’s wedding at Brock House Restaurant was a dream. They wanted a relaxed, intimate celebration, and this stunning venue provided the perfect ambiance. Their ceremony took place under the iconic grand Maple Tree, with the shimmering Pacific Ocean and the North Shore Mountains as their backdrop. After exchanging vows, they hosted a lively cocktail hour on the beachfront lawn, allowing guests to soak in the natural beauty of the location.

A Seamless Wedding Experience in One Location

One of the biggest advantages of Brock House Restaurant is that it allows couples to have their entire wedding day in one place—from getting ready to the first look, ceremony, portraits, and reception. This means more time to enjoy the day and less time traveling between locations.

I arrived in the late morning to photograph Karina and Joey getting ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen in the charming rooms of the heritage house. Their first look was set in the elegant main lobby, capturing their excitement before the big moment. We then moved outdoors for a wedding portrait session amidst the lush greenery and oceanfront scenery—taking advantage of the natural light before the ceremony.

A Picture-Perfect Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Guests arrived around 3:00 PM, and the ceremony started at 3:30 PM under the majestic Maple Tree. With the sun casting a golden glow, the couple exchanged heartfelt vows in a short yet meaningful ceremony, followed by an intimate cocktail hour where guests mingled on the lawn and inside the historic venue.

The reception kicked off at 5:00 PM under a beautifully decorated outdoor garden tent, accommodating 80 guests. The evening was filled with laughter, heartfelt speeches from parents, bridesmaids, groomsmen, and the couple, and of course, plenty of candid moments. The night came alive with an emotional first dance, followed by father-daughter and mother-son dances, leading into a full dance floor where guests celebrated into the night.
